Updated on March 25th, 2022 by Sarah Martin:Though the 2020s have just begun, several anime fights graced our television screens in the past two years. These fights kept the audience on the edge of their seat. Some of the best battles came from new releases, such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Tokyo Revengers. Established favorites, such as Attack On Titan, proved they still has plenty of fight left in them. These battles include excellent choreography and impressive execution, but most importantly, they captivate the audience until the very end.
CBR VIDEO OF THE DAY
15 Nobara Kugisaki & Yuji Itadori Vs. Eso & Kechizu Is One Of The Best Anime Fights Of All Time
Nobara Kugisaki and Yuji Itadori's fight against two of the Death Painting siblings, Eso and Kechizu, was one of the most epic anime fights of all time. The fight took place during the final episode of Jujutsu Kaisen's first season. Yuji and Nobara committed 100% of their abilities and willpower to take down the brothers.
This fight was a pivotal moment for the series and the perfect way to end the season. Nobara and Yuji unleashed the best of their jujutsu techniques during this fight — most notably, Nobara's hairpin technique destroyed Kechizu instantly after Yuji punched him with a Black Flash.
14 Diva Vs. Yugo Was Handled Beautifully By Wit Studios
Wit Studios, which also worked on Attack on Titan, animated Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song. Though many fans ignored the show because it was an anime original, Wit Studios must be praised for their beautiful execution of this fight.
Everything was hand-drawn, and all of the martial arts were choreography in a flawless, cohesive way. Perhaps its most impressive accomplishment was how Wit Studios made the Diva Vs. Yugo fight so high-paced and yet maintained its stability throughout the battle. This fight was nominated at the 2021 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
13 Tokyo Manji Gang Vs. Valhalla Was An Absolute Brawl
The best fight in Tokyo Revengers' first season was undoubtedly when the Tokyo Manji Gang fought Valhalla. This was a significant moment in the plot, as the two gangs fought each other to prove who the superior gang was. During the battle, Kazutora proved to be too far gone and both sides suffered significant losses.

Poor Takemichi got caught in the middle and was especially in danger because he lacked fighting skills. His goal was to convince Mikey to kick Tetta out of the gang because he's a vile man, but he also had to try and get Baji's attention — on top of staying alive in what turned out to be a bloodbath.
12 Eren Vs. The War-Hammer Titan Was Absolutely Chaotic
One of the most anticipated fights in the entire Attack On Titan series was the fight between Eren Yeager and the War-Hammer Titan. This fight saw a return of Eren's titan form. Fans' jaws hit the floor as the sheer chaotic nature of this battle unfolded before them.
This was also, perhaps, the first time fans started to conclude Eren was no longer the hero of theis tale. The Eren Vs. War Hammer Titan battle sequence was the perfect end for the first cour of Attack On Titan's final season.
11 Aoi Todo & Yuji Itadori Vs. Hanami Was Beautifully Violent
Jujutsu Kaisen knows how to deliver excellent fights. Perhaps the best anime fight since the beginning of the 2020s was when Aoi Todo and Yuji Itadori teamed up against Hanami; a special grade cursed spirit. This fight was a standout, not just in the series but in anime as a whole.
The battle is animated to make its violence look absolutely exquisite as Yuji and Aoi take on Hanami's flowery attacks. The fight was choreographed excellently, allowing Yuji and Aoi to show their combined techniques. Between Aoi's Boogie Woogie and Yuji landing four consecutive Black Flashes, this fight was full of impressive cursed techniques.
10 Mob Vs. Koyama Unleashed 100% Of Mob's Anger
One of the most incredibly choreographed fights seen in this decade was Mob's clash against Megumu Koyama. Although nearly every fight in Mob Psycho 100 is spectacular, the staff truly went the extra mile for Mob vs. Koyama. A passionate and talented bunch of animators delivered a strong punch of action as Mob went 100% Animosity against Koyama. The incredible clash between these two powers concluded with Mob smashing his opponents into the ground after lifting himself several hundred feet in the sky.
9 Jotaro Kujo Vs. Dio Brando Finally Put An End To The Vampire's Reign Of Terror
It is safe to say JoJo's Bizarre Adventures has been consistently delivering some of the best fights in anime over the past several years. When the anime made a return in the early 2010s, new life was breathed into Araki's series. Undoubtedly, the most iconic fight of all JoJo's fights is Jotaro's clash against Dio in Stardust Crusaders.

Having lost Kakyoin, Jotaro saw to it that Star Platinum evolved to a level beyond Dio's The World. This clash not only showed viewers how ferocious the power of a Stand was, but it also efficiently put an end to the charismatic villain for good.
8 Netero Vs. Meruem Was The Climax Of The Chimera Ant Arc
Easily one of the very best fights seen in shonen, Netero vs Meruem from Hunter X Hunter witnessed the Chimera Ant arc reach sky-high levels, and in doing so, etched itself into the hearts of the fans.
Although there was a huge difference of power between the two, the Netero vs Meruem fight was choreographed beautifully, perfectly showcasing the level of skills Meruem possessed. Nonetheless, Netero's powers were superb as well, and it was only due to his sacrifice that Meruem was finally put to bed.
7 Naruto Vs. Sasuke's Fight In Shippuden Was Legendary
A fight that nearly every Naruto fan was waiting for finally took place at the Valley of End over the course of two episodes back in 2016. Naruto's fight against Sasuke was inevitable, and Studio Pierrot delivered in the most extraordinary of ways.
Thanks to some of the best animators, such as Hiroyuki Yamashita, Naruto vs. Sasuke goes down as quite possibly the best fight of the decade, although opinion may differ. This fight ends with Naruto and Sasuke blowing each other's arms off. Sasuke ultimately conceded to Naruto and accepted defeat — as well as Naruto's idea of peace.
6 Saitama Vs. Lord Boros Was High-Quality Action At Its' Finest
The best fights of the decade would be lacking without Saitama's epic clash against Lord Boros in One-Punch Man. Just like every other episode of One Punch Man, Episode 12 was a marvel. Thanks to the director, many big-name animators were attracted to the project and made it a memorable fight.
With a magnificent staff, Saitama vs. Boros gave viewers some of the most high-quality action seen in anime, and possibly ever. With big names such as Yutaka Nakamura, Kameda, among many others working on the episode, it's no wonder Saitama's drubbing of Boros became all it turned out to be.
5 All Might Vs. All For One Had Significant Implications For What's Ahead In My Hero Academia
Among the many fights from My Hero Academia, All Might vs All For One certainly stands out the most. The battle carried great significance to the story, as well as serious emotional weight. It goes without saying that All Might vs. All For One was a marvel from start to finish.
RELATED: 10 Worst Things About All Might
Although this fight wasn't as visually appealing as some other anime battles, the weight it carried was certainly just as good, if not greater. Masterfully delivered, this fight marked the end of All Might and All For One.
4 Goku Vs. Jiren In Dragon Ball Super Was A Universal Delight
With the return of Dragon Ball in the 2010s, it was only a matter of time before Goku ran into another immovable object. This time around, it was none other than Jiren, a monstrously powerful being from Universe 11. In the Tournament of Power, Goku took it upon himself to defeat Jiren and save his universe from erasure.
In doing so, he not only bore the fate of the universe on his shoulders but also gained even greater power in Ultra Instinct. Once again, there was great emotional weight behind Goku's fight against Jiren, and the animation was spectacular as well. Some of Toei's biggest stars, such as Naotoshi Shida, Yong-Ce Tu, and Naoki Tate made sure to burn this fight in viewer's eyes — leaving behind a feeling that will last forever.
3 Monkey D. Luffy Vs. Charlotte Katakuri Proved Toei Studios Can Deliver Exquisite Fight Scenes
With One Piece edging closer to its end with each passing year, Luffy's journey keeps getting even tougher. Whole Cake Island saw Luffy take on his biggest challenge at the time in the form of Charlotte Katakuri. With the fate of the crew resting on his victory, Luffy had no other choice but to defeat Katakuri — something he did so in style.

The fight was an animation marvel that took months of hard work from the people at Toei Studios. It was an episode that saw some big-name animators return to One Piece, such as Naotoshi Shida, Koudai Watanabe, and Tu, among many others. The brilliant action choreography and the feel of the fight land it a rightful place among the best fights of the decade.
2 Levi Vs. The Beast Titan Kept The Audience On The Edge Of Their Seats
Arguably the best anime of the decade, it's not a shocker that Attack on Titan features some of the most incredible fights seen recently. While there are many battles to pick from, Levi's clash against Zeke was quite incredibly animated, thanks to hours and hours of effort from the staff at Wit Studio.
The fight opened with the death of Erwin Smith, who used his body as a shield to open up a path for Levi to strike down the Beast Titan, and he delivered. In a beautifully animated cut by the legendary Arifumi Imai, Levi chopped up the Beast Titan into several pieces, ensuring Erwin's sacrifice wasn't in vain.
1 Naruto and Sasuke Vs. Momoshiki Otsutsuki Continued The Trend Of Exciting Fights From Its' Prequel Series
Although Boruto may not be as popular as Naruto once was, there is no denying some of the fights it featured have been downright mind-blowing. One such fight was when Naruto and Sasuke clashed against Momoshiki Otsutsuki in Boruto Episode 65. This episode is widely considered to be an animation marvel because of how beautiful the fight looks, thanks to some of the most creative storyboarding and direction from Pierrot's rising talent Chengxi Huang.
The episode blew away every single Naruto fan ever. Not only did it deliver some great action, but when Naruto and Sasuke partnered to defeat Momoshiki, viewers got a sudden hit of nostalgia. The final scene wonderfully depicted the passing of the torch from the old generation to the new generation, and it remains one of the reasons why Boruto is held in high regard.
